One day, a simple Facebook invitation led him to a world far away, a world of suffering and need. Moved by the heart-wrenching images of hungry children and desperate families in Mozambique, Marcelo knew he had to act.

With a friend by his side, he started a small group, “Semeadores de Maratane,” dedicated to bringing hope to the people of Mozambique. They began with weekly food missions, providing meals to hundreds of people in a refugee camp and a remote village. As they witnessed the gratitude and transformation in the eyes of those they helped, their hearts were filled with joy and purpose.

Inspired by their early successes, they expanded their efforts. They launched a sponsorship program, connecting kind-hearted donors with families in need, both in Mozambique and Brazil. This initiative provided long-term support, empowering families to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

Today, Marcelo and his team continue to inspire hope, one meal, one smile, and one life at a time.
