The challenge of living in Rodolfo Fernandes.

A small village with few job opportunities, a humble, serene and struggling people, Rodolfo Fernandes is also a municipality capable of transforming difficulties into hope. Despite all the suffering of some families for lack of opportunity, be it employment, study and sometimes even health, we feel that people do not lose faith in God and that one day things will improve. Most of the jobs come from agriculture with cashew planting and cattle raising, where milk is used in the production of cheese, cream and sold in the city or to companies. There are also some small companies in the sewing industry that employ about 100 to 150 people. When we arrive in Brazil the help of the Semeadores de Maratane brought then hope every month, We realise the importance and the need to donate, embracing, giving our time and be grateful for our contribution that brings hope to the more vulnerable.

Our
New Website

DateSeptember 2002

It took a while but we got our website. We are all volunteer Semeadores (Semeadores de Maratane). We have limited time to dedicate ourselves 100% to the numerous tasks and day-to-day responsibility of our personal lives, then, the elaboration of texts, programs, structures, corrections, ideas etc…

With a lot of Faith in God, patience and dedication, we achieved our goal. the launch of our website. It was written by me, and elaborated and structured by, Ricardo Sousa @Searchmyart, where you can sign up to receive our email newsletter, you can also contact us, suggest, give ideas, sponsor a family, which helps a lot, our Maratane Families Sponsorship projects. You can read our columns, news, stories and events. You can make your donation in an easy and simple way. A small offer helps a lot, both in Africa and in Brazil. To give you an idea, £0.50 is the value of a meal for a child. With £15 monthly you sponsor a person from a family, helping to carry a basic basket monthly and with £20 monthly, you help a family in Brazil to receive supplies as well. We would be immensely happy and grateful to see you help us. Our work is transparent and clear, and at any time you can contact us in any area you want to find out. Make your registration on the website and feel the joy in helping the closest, what our Glorious Master Jesus Christ taught us.
Thank you for joining us and helping.

Date: October 9th

J. Lopes big day is approaching, a marathon runner who will raise funds for the construction of the artesian well in the village of Natiti, Maratane Camp – Africa. Their contribution will reach drinking water for more than 400 children and their families. Drinking water is essential for maintaining our health.

Walking for
charity

We’ve taken several walks during the last few months, follow us on social networks, so you can learn more through the events on our Website.

On our walks we carry out fundraising campaigns with the aim of starting the construction of a house for our missionary Bita Sumaili, which, unfortunately, was almost destroyed in the beginning of 2022 due to numerous tropical storms. Without a home for him and his family, it is very difficult for us to carry out the Food and Sponsorship Missions in the region, he is primarily responsible for doing these Missions. Practically our project would lose the power of achievements and , especially, our biggest goal. Help those who need it most.

The total for construction is £1800 plus the building permit £300. The house will be a 3 bedrooms, one for the missionary Sumaili and  family, wife, and son he other room for the sister, a small room, kitchen and bathroom. the building will be made of bricks, in a very simple way, with a stronger roof, the current roof is made of wood and foliage with tiles also and the walls are built of interlaced woods coated with a kind of mortar, making homes fragile and vulnerable in times of stronger storms. Our collections at the moment is £927, which was enough to start the work. These values are sent to Africa in stages, we are following all the construction, the  videos and photos are shared on our social media platforms, Soon the first delivery of sand will arrive at Maratane Camp,  so they will start the construction that will be announced in our social networks. Soon, too, we will start new fundraising campaigns to achieve our final goal. Other announcement is, in addition to the construction of the house, we will make repairs and for the storage shed where they store all the food, tools and machinery of our missions, as they are currently accumulated within a small space in the house Missionary Sumaili. We would like to thank immensely those who supported us through your donations.  God continue to bless you all immensely.
