Our goal is to get closer to these families, seeking to bring better living conditions according to their needs.
The Food Project was the first project to be developed in the. Maratane Camp. It is essentially about the social fraternization of children, and their families coming together on a weekday for a big community lunch and dinner. For these meals, we serve rice, and beans, with “Shima”, corn cream, and fish. Native is very popular in Africa. With just £0.50 we can prepare one meal per person.
The Food Project was the first project created by the Semeadores de Maratane, basically, it consists of social fraternization between children and families for a great lunch. At this lunch served rice, beans, varying days with fish and “Shima” a cream of native corn very enjoyed by them. In 2019, they feed on the floor and with their own hands and today they can eat sitting on wooden benches and with spoons, a habit that they have learned to like. This brings us great joy.
This is a project that we consider to be one of the pillars of our Work Social. We have a special affection for this work.
The moment when a “best man” chooses a family to “sponsor”, We’ll make sure this family gets a monthly basket of Basic, clothing, medicines and hygiene products, as well as rescue security, dignity and human respect together with Self-esteem.
To become a family sponsor and learn more about this project please contact us and we will be delighted to give you the necessary information. Become a sponsor for as little as £15 per month per family member,
The aim of this project is to promote the social, cultural and community of the population at the Maratane Camp. To develop the art, the music and the sport, organising football tournaments and community lunches, dance, music and art.
We believe this project benefits the community sense, leading to a little dignity and respect for the vulnerable families and children in the region.
The village does not have treated water, even though it is drinkable, t is Brackish water, and yellowish in colour, therefore, one of the causes of intestinal problems, the “stomach”, especially in children. Residents bathed in the adjacent river did not use soap and washed their clothes in the river.
They also use water to make food and drink. Life in this region is very precarious, although many of them make their living. Installing an artesian well in the village of Natiti would be an excellent project.
This would reduce the rate of disease, improve hygienic conditions and improve the quality of life. We have an ongoing campaign on our social networks for the 2022 Chicago Marathon, which will be held in October, sponsored by marathoner J. Lopes who is supporting us in this cause.
We are creating a greater relationship between you the “godfather” and the sponsored family/child through letters received by our Missionaries and translated into your language. Our goal is to get closer and closer to these families, seeking to bring better living conditions according to their needs.
“We can get you closer to a family or child in Brazil..”
“food is a way to bring togetherness to the table and celebrate our shared humanity.”
Although the Brazilian government helps with a government program (family allowance), the amount is not enough to maintain basic monthly needs, and the lack of work is also one of the factors that contribute to the growth of social vulnerability. Often the Maratane Sowers had to use resources from other areas to cover these needs. Anyway, the main objective of this project is to raise its own funds to cover extra situations and even emergencies without having to use financial resources external to the project.
Come and be part of our project, Communication with the sponsored family takes place via correspondence, videos, photographs and, reports of events and with only £20 a month you “sponsor” a family. On the Birthday of any member, you can also send a message and even a simple donation.
The Social Fraternity project was created in order to support and assist families or individuals in need who come with a certain frequency to seek help from our team located in the municipality of Rodolfo Fernandes, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Sometimes to buy a gas bottle other times to pay the electrecity bill, and often for food or medication.
On special occasions like a cherished family member’s birthday or heartwarming holidays like Christmas, there’s a beautiful way to make your “sponsored family” feel truly cherished and remembered. In the heart of Brazil, for just £20 a month, you have the incredible opportunity to become a sponsor, and your generous donation will ensure they receive a vital monthly food basket, filling their lives with hope and warmth.
